Avicii@ Black/White Festival On Governor’s Island
Last Sunday on Governor’s Island was pretty sticky, so sticky that observing the huddled masses slide their sweaty bodies to/fro, first to get past security checks, then onto ferry, then past more security checks, and pool into a muddy vat of 5,000 fans, took on a religious air. How else can one explain the endless energy to chant in reverence to a man small in stature, plain in features, and with a still, quiet voice?
The music. Avicii slayed and reformed me that night. I’m a fan.
Here’s some pics courtesy of my buddy Nick Rouner (on behalf of Pacha) depicting the festivities.
