Be seduced by rising trends towards maximalism, the hyper-real, and generous does of fresh, bold colors. It’s time to trade in black for anything else, especially that blissful natural shade of the sunbathing beauty. Nude thigh-highs are an easy accent for upcoming champagne bottle silhouettes, emphasizing that paradisiacally appealing proportion of a long lean leg with a gently curved hip and nipped waist. Best yet, this peek-a-boo tease doesn’t cover a thing, and it updates everything that flowed from Richard Prince, fetishized nurses, and scores of hypnotically dark and utterly priceless underwear as outerwear Vogue Italia stories.

Nude hosiery doesn’t sound erotic. It sounds like the anti-sex, anti-climatic prop on a Juergen Teller shoot. Images of old Sicilian women take form,  their pasty, marbled calves bared as they steady themselves while playing boccia ball with their neighbors.

Don’t think about them. Think about young girls with perfect thighs obscured by sheer films of blush-toned fabric as a beautiful backdrop for tropical patterns and digital prints in bold, saturated, and day-glo colors. Better still are this seasons sweet-like-a-peach blush tones, and pure white eyelet lace with scalloped edges.

Jewels and brooches of surreal proportions and brilliance as garter belt accents, contrast back seaming, and candy-colored lace trim are all lovely on the right thigh.
